Greetings from Snow.
I know some Midwesterners aren't too keen on the snow that falls from the sky, but I'm told I'm the kind of snow that everyone loves. My sister Ice and I were 2 of a litter of pups born while our canine mom was living in a foster home in Texas. Our mama and siblings found homes, and Ice and I were surrendered to an overcrowded Dallas shelter. We were quickly placed in another foster home before being rescued by CARE and brought to Skokie. The transition to a bustling kennel environment has been scary for me, and when I meet new people, I'm initially quite shy. But just give me a little time, and my sweet, gentle, and loving nature emerges. I'll put my head against you for petting, nuzzle you for more pets, and eventually roll over on my back for belly rubs. When the love-in is over, I'll lie next to you, ever so grateful for your company.
When out walking, I have excellent leash manners, staying right by my volunteer's side and never pulling. I'm frightened by busy streets and loud noises but really enjoy strolling quiet trails and neighborhoods, often as part of a group of other CARE pooches. Speaking of dogs, it would be terrific to share a home with another kind and laid-back pup who could teach me the ropes. A few other things to tell you. I'm not too interested in toys (except for Greenies, and unlike most Labs, I'm not particularly food-motivated. Finally, I'm happy to report I'm fully potty- and crate-trained.
Summing up, I know that once I settle into my forever home with a loving person/family, my confidence will build, and I promise I'll be the happiest and most devoted girl anyone could ask for. Are you willing to give me that chance? If so, please fill out an adoption application and come and meet me ASAP!

I have been spayed and microchipped and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey
