Snow's Story

Meet Snow — her story is one worth reading. 💜

This stunning 4-year-old husky/shepherd mix spent years surviving on the streets, raising litter after litter of puppies on her own. Her first known litter, Arlo, Koda, and Laika, were born outside, rescued and adopted last July. But life on the streets didn’t stop there. Snow later had another litter—Anushka, Mac, and Tres—also born outside while she continued trying to survive and protect her babies. Those were the pups we took in during the freeze, and over the past two weeks they’ve all found their forever homes. When Snow finally came into rescue herself, she was pregnant again. But this time everything was different. For the first time, Snow didn’t have to give birth outside in the cold. She was safe, warm, and cared for in a foster home where she delivered eight beautiful puppies—the Game of Thrones litter. After years of raising babies on the streets, Snow finally got to experience what it feels like to be safe. And now, for the first time ever… it’s Snow’s turn.

Snow weighs about 50 pounds and is the definition of a gentle, affectionate soul. She loves her people and will flop over for belly rubs the moment you start petting her. Her favorite place is right next to you—or on top of you—soaking up love. She’s calm, easygoing, and would thrive in a relaxed home. Snow gets along with other dogs but prefers doing her own thing. Her foster manages her toys and meals separately to keep everyone happy—simple and easy. Snow is potty trained, free roams the house, and hasn’t caused any trouble (aside from one bag of treats she assumed were free game). She also knows how to sit and does well with kids who respect her boundaries.

Snow has spent her life caring for others. Now it’s finally time for someone to care for her.
