Snoopy's Story

When Snoopy came to us, he was dirty, painfully matted, covered in fleas and ticks, injured, and clearly had been surviving for far too long without the care he deserved.
Then something incredible happened.
After Scent Hound removed the mats, bugs, and everything physically weighing him down, his entire demeanor started to change. It was almost like Snoopy realized, “I’m safe now.”
He is currently staying with our director and her six dogs — and somehow this little guy walked into that pack like he had always belonged there. He LOVES other dogs, and we strongly feel his future home would be even better with a friendly canine companion.
And the affection? He cannot get enough.
He wants his face scratched. He wants to be stroked and loved on. He lights up when his foster mama comes home.
And don’t tell anybody...
Snoopy is sleeping right beside her in bed.
The dog who was once outside neglected and hurting now has a soft bed, a full belly, six dog friends, and someone kissing him goodnight.
His appetite is great.
He has had ZERO accidents in the house.
He is quiet, sweet, affectionate, and has been an incredible little houseguest.
Next week, Snoopy will travel to Granbury to see a surgeon because we want the very best possible care for him. His medical needs will be covered, and depending on what the surgeon recommends, we may also need a medical foster during recovery.
Medical Foster: www.scdrm.com/foster
Adoption Application: www.scdrm.com/adopt
Snoopy’s story isn’t finished yet.
But this chapter already looks a whole lot different than the one he came from.
