Our Mission
At Second Chance Dog Rescue Mansfield, our goal is to provide a safe environment for neglected and abandoned dogs in our community while searching for them a forever home or suitable foster.
We have an amazing facility which accommodates around 20 dogs comfortably that is donated for our organization to use by the Morales family. Charles Morales is a huge dog lover, and saw the many dogs being dumped in his community and built a facility to help these dogs, complete with indoor offices, a grooming room, a large warehouse area, and several outdoor kennels. Second Chance Dog Rescue Mansfield exists because of this man’s huge heart for dogs and we are grateful every day for the support of him and his family.
Adoption Policy
An interest in adoption form is filled out
If form is approved the potential adopters are contacted for a meet and greet. (If the potential adopters have other dogs its required that a meet and greet is also done with their current dogs.)
If the meet and greet goes well a home check is scheduled.
Once the home is approved the dog is allowed to go home.
At time of drop off a final contract is signed.
Adoption resources, new pup resources and guidelines are given to the adopters to help them transition with their new rescue pup
