Snoopy's Story

Meet the most perfect house guest in the world! Snoopy is 6 yrs, very affectionate, quiet, house broken, will not get on the furniture no matter how much you invite him to. He peacefully lays in his bed, plays with his toys, will sits patiently by the door to alert you he wants to go potty. He loves car rides more than treats, which he will also take very gently. He is crate trained, will not shred toys or your things. He is perfect in the home and the yard. His only issue... he is not dog or cat friendly but he makes up for it with his impressive manners and laying his head on your lap. He is great on walks and can easily be redirected if he sees another dog, you just have to say no and come on. He will listen and just walk on by.

Healing Hounds Rescue's Adoption Policy
I have them fill out my foster/adoption contract and after receiving I call to vet them and understand their abilities and the type of dog they would like. We have a good hour long convo of everything from slow introductions, training, positive reinforcement, needs of the dog, and the adopters expectations. I either do a home check or ask for pictures of where the dog would be staying, sleeping, eating. Then we plan a meet and greet with adopter and adopters other animals or family members to see how the dog reacts. I want to set up my rescues for success and make sure it's a good fit for everyone.
