There is an application process and adoption fee.<br/>-----------<br/>Snickers is a 5 yr old, mixed-breed sweetheart, possibly Yorkie/Chihuahua, and weighs a cuddly 12 pounds. With his big heart and tiny paws, Snickers is the ultimate lap dog who’s happiest when he’s curled up beside you or following close on your heels.<br/><br/>This loving little guy thrives on companionship and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or moving from room to room, Snickers will be your loyal little shadow. He gets along well with other dogs and is doing great with house training. Snickers could be the only dog or have another small playful dog in the home who is under 20lbs. Snickers mostly just wants to be with his people and he loves a car ride!<br/><br/>Snickers enjoys couch time with you; however, he is still a very active little guy. We are asking for a securely fenced yard attached to the home for him because he loves to burn off energy zooming around the yard. He is doing well with leash training; however, he can get excited and have you walking in circles. Snickers does tend to plant himself by your feet, so he would not be a good fit for a person with balance issues or a senior citizen.<br/><br/>Snickers will need someone who understands his desire for closeness and be mindful of his tendency to stick close, especially when doors to the outside are opening. Snickers’ ideal home where his family is mostly home. <br/><br/>If you're looking for a happy, affectionate companion who lives to snuggle, go on adventures, car rides and walks and who will never let you feel lonely, Snickers might be your perfect match! <br/> <br/>The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps no larger than 2 inches and attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. <br/><br/>We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. <br/>Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. <br/>Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. <br/><br/>Adoption Fee: $500
