Smokey Labrador Retriever Mix Racine, WI

My name is Smokey, and I'm about 4 yrs old. I was found as a stray in Eastern Kentucky and ended up in a loud, scary shelter for 3 months, which is a long time for a sensitive boy like me. I was so happy to come to my foster home and finally relax! I'm a quiet, gentle guy and enjoy taking naps during the day. My absolute favorite thing is playing ball! My foster dad can throw the ball really far! I run fast to bring it back and before I can drop it, he's throwing another ball for me to chase! I've been on a few walks with my foster family, and that's fun too. I'm working on my leash manners so I can be the best boy. I'm food motivated, which will help with training. I aim to please and learned how to 'sit' quickly and take treats very nicely. I love my soft bed and enjoy being pet and cuddled with. I'm a 'leaner' which my foster mom says is so sweet! I enjoy hanging out with the other dogs in my foster family and napping together. I'm crate trained and will go in easily with a treat! Sometimes I get a frozen peanut butter kong, which makes me really happy. I sleep quietly for 8 hours at night and am doing well with potty training. My foster mom says I have the sweetest face and personality. I'd love to meet you!

Adopter must live within 75 miles of Racine, WI. Adoption fee is $250 plus a $100 deposit for mandatory training class. Fee includes neuter/spay at our approved vet clinic, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines and 30 day health certificate.
