PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.<br/><br/>Meet Smokey! Smokey is approximately 10 years old, 11 lb currently, and he like is a Pomeraian! In his foster home, he is working hard on his house training, crate-training, and leash walking. He could join households with teens and other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats.<br/><br/>No apartments, please! He has some separation anxiety and needs people who are around more often than not.<br/><br/>His foster says, "Smokey is a retired breeding dog. he is not used to being held. He freezes up until he gets to know you. After about a week, he started wagging his tail at me and getting really expcited when I get home. He is Ok with anyone touching him. He has never snapped or growled at anyone or other dogs. He is OK with my dogs being in his space but he does not play. He enjoys laying beside me on the couch or close to me on his bed while I am working on my computer. He follows me around and lays as he watches me in the kitchen. He does not like being in the crate and he will bark."<br/><br/>He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on June 19.
