Skye!<br/>This little older, approx 8-9 yrs old, lady is Skye. She has clearly spent many years as a breeder dog for a commercial breeding farm. Her body shows some of the wear of having produced many litters, and her shyness shows that humans have likely not spent much time spoiling her, but through it all she is sweet, with never a negative response to anything. <br/><br/>It can be heartbreaking to see Skye sit in the corner, hoping to disappear into the background, but at the same time it is so heartwarming to see little signs of her coming out of her shell and show us her personality. She does a happy dance when she sees any dogs and befriends them all. Her little tail wags when she is comfortable and she starts to give small hand licks when you go slow and just sit with her and speak softly. Skye has so much potential and she just needs to find patient and understanding people that will give her more time and encouragement to get settled.<br/><br/>Skye absolutely LOVES other dogs and will only be adopted with one of her friends, most notably her daughter Summer would be a great match, or to a home that already has a friendly dog to show Skye the ropes and whose lead she can follow.<br/><br/>Skye will need continued work with housebreaking and leash walking, etc. She can move her round body surprisingly quickly when she sees an open gate or door, so any homes should be prepared to be secure and watchful until she is more comfortable.<br/><br/> Adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date preventatives, spay, and microchip.
