Skippy (Skippyjon Bones) Collie & Shepherd Mix Springfield, MO

My name is Skippyjon Bones and you may be familiar with my feline counterpart, Skippyjon Jones. Trust me when I say we are different, but alike in some ways. I have the ears to prove it!! Like Skippyjon Jones, I fear no bandito, my manners are mellow, I'm sweet like the Jell-o, and I get the job done, yes indeed-o! *Clap, clap* I am one tough 50-pound fella considering the life I've lived in my short 2 years. I came to Rescue One with a shattered back left leg that needed to be immediately amputated. I've been on the mend and am now perfected for my future familio! As you can see in my pictures, I have one eye, and only 3 legs. Don't let that deter you, please!! Having only 3 legs hasn't slowed me down one bit, and though you have to throw the ball for fetch on the side with my good eye, I retrieve the ball and love the game all the same! I know my looks makes me seem pretty scary, but I am the sweetest, friendliest boy. I will make a great Halloween pup, especially with my big and bright orange-brown right eye! :) I am friendly with other dogs and kiddos and would love a companion to play with at my new home. I still have some puppy energy and will definitely need a fenced yard, or plenty of leash walking/outdoor activities to get my exercise daily. I have been cat tested and do well with them, but it would help if they were dog-savvy already. I am completely potty trained, and kennel trained. I don't like being behind bars, but this bandito knows it's only ever temporary, so I don't whine or cry at all. I actually don't even bark at the noisy pup that lives next door. This bandito has manners! I am the snuggliest boy and crave attention very badly. I will try to get your attention to pet me because I crave human interaction so badly! I just can't wait to have a furever family of my own. Get your Halloween Pupito, just in time for the Howliday!

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
