Sirus

Sirus was in an Oklahoma shelter with his mom and litter mates. Oklahoma has very low adoption rates and sadly the shelter euthanized Sirus' mom. When a rescuer saw that that had happened, she rushed to the shelter to pull Sirus and save his life. Even puppies are not finding homes in other states and this rescuer did not want Sirus' ending to be the same tragedy as his mother's. Sirus is so happy to be in Oregon now and eager for a home of his own. He has been living in a loving foster home for the past 6 weeks and is a wonderful puppy!<br/><br/>- Approximate date of birth is 1/15/26 and he is 40 pounds on 8/24/26<br/><br/>- Our best guess on breed mix is Pit Bull/German Shepherd. It would be so fun to hear any DNA test results if his future adopter elects to do a test. <br/><br/>- Super loving with people and enjoys cuddling. He will fall asleep on your chest snuggling on the couch if you let him. Very social with everyone he meets and just a delightful temperament on this boy.<br/><br/>- Good with other dogs and has been well socialized with many dogs in foster. Currently fostered with a small dog and is respectful of that dog.<br/><br/>- Fostered with a cat and is very appropriate. The cat smacked him on the nose when he was just trying to sniff the cat and Sirus backed away quickly. We think he could live just fine with cats. <br/><br/>- Good with kids<br/><br/>- Doing great with crate training<br/><br/>- Doing well with potty training and is reliable with his potty habits with supervision and routine. <br/><br/>- Nice medium energy. Not too rowdy. Does have a playful side though as most puppies do. <br/><br/>- We prioritize homes that value socialization, training, exercise and enrichment. Our hope is that our adoptable puppies go to homes that will help them become well mannered adult dogs. <br/><br/>Sirus is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heart worm tested negative, and current on flea/tick/heart worm prevention.
