Meet Sir and Lightem Up Tony

We are bonded brothers who are joined at the hip. We are both shy boys when we first meet someone but will eventually overcome it. We are both food motivated, and we aren’t ashamed to admit that if you bribe us with treats we will become your friends faster. We enjoy quiet spaces and will do best in a quiet home without children of any age.

There are cats in our foster home and its super fun to chase them. As a result, we probably should not live in a home with cats. We also have a 5-foot fence around our current backyard that we can hop on and see over. We really enjoy barking at the neighbor dogs. Unless you truly enjoy the melody of our repeated barking, we may do better in a yard with a 6-foot fence.

When we enter your home, we may have some potty accidents until you establish our routine. Please make sure that you let us out multiple times a day until we have learned our new schedule. If you can come home at lunch time to let us out for a potty break, that will be ideal.

We are still learning how to walk on a leash. We stop a lot because we want to know what the noises around us are. Sometimes, cars going by concern us or we see strangers ahead and feel stranger danger. With time and practice, we will overcome these fears and do better on our leashes.

Every morning when you wake up, we make it our personal mission to greet you at the side of the bed with wagging tails. We are so glad that you are awake and that we can receive your love and lots of pets.

Because we do have some challenges and are shy, it would be ideal if we could meet you a handful of times to get to know you before making any adoption decisions.

Sir: I am a very laid back, lovable, sweet boy. I’m well behaved and I enjoy being near my people – so much so that I will become your shadow. I make it my personal endeavor to collect all dog toys in the house and to place them in a single spot in the house where I can easily keep inventory. I am a good boy and will go into my kennel when offered a good treat.

Tony: I am a fireball of energy. I am a puppy by nature, and I love to run and play all day long. I like to lie on the sofa and snuggle with the humans on the bed. I will need a home that will allow me to feel free to do this. I also know where the treats are and will stand on a chair like a mountain goat to try to reach them. Too bad the treats are in a jar that I can’t chew through.

I am still learning what is acceptable to chew on. I have chewed on a couple of pieces of furniture as I did not know that was bad. I have been better about it since being caught and told no. However, it will be best to keep me kenneled or muzzled when you are unable to watch me, until I learn what is acceptable to chew on.

I am also a sensitive boy and do better with firm but gentle “no’s” than with harsh loud words. If you speak to me with a loud or mean voice, I will shy away from you. I do require patience, but I am so sweet that you won’t regret it.

Sir and Tony's adoption fee is $400 for the pair.
