SIMBA's Story

Simba is a 6-year-old Siberian Husky with a big voice and an even bigger personality. He arrived as a stray alongside his German Shepherd housemate. While his owner reclaimed the Shepherd, Simba was surrendered due to a history of escaping. Prior to coming into care, Simba lived primarily as an outdoor dog and is now beginning to learn what indoor life—and stability—can look like. Despite his background, Simba has a sweet, social side. He previously lived with children ages 6 and 16 and did well with them. He’s a very vocal boy (as many huskies are!), enjoys interacting with people, and already walks well on leash. He could also benefit from a gradual weight loss plan to help him feel his best. Simba will thrive in an active, patient, husky-experienced home that understands his breed’s need for engagement, structure, and exercise—and doesn’t mind a little husky “singing” along the way. With consistency and guidance, Simba is ready to trade his wandering days for a home where he can finally settle in and be part of the family.
