Sierra's Story

Meet Sierra - Tiny body - Giant personality

At just 3 months old, Sierra is already convinced she runs the world — and honestly, we’re letting her. This petite mixed-breed girl may have entered a rural South Carolina shelter as a stray, but she’s quickly traded uncertainty for confidence, sass, and nonstop fun.

The shelter labeled Sierra and her brother as Retriever mixes, but your guess is as good as ours. Her brother looks more Dachshund-ish, Sierra has longer legs, and she rocks adorable little Rottweiler coloring in a compact package. Whatever she is… she’s ridiculously cute.

Sierra started out shy, but once she settled into foster care, her bold personality came flying out. She’s the leader of the duo, the first to investigate, and absolutely not interested in taking nonsense from anyone. She’s playful, adventurous, independent, and always ready to turn life into a party. Soft squeaky toys and rope toys are currently at the top of her “favorite things” list.

She’s also crushing crate training and sleeps about 8.5 hours overnight like a champ. Smart and adorable? Dangerous combination.

Like all puppies, Sierra will need continued structure, patience, and training as she grows. We strongly encourage adopters to enroll in training classes — not only to help her thrive, but also to build an incredible lifelong bond together.

Sierra is fostered in Waynesboro, GA, but thanks to our transport program, she is available for adoption throughout much of the United States.

💌 Ready to add a little sass, adventure, and joy to your life?
Start by completing our adoption inquiry form (copy and paste link into browser):

https://form.jotform.com/211295763938164
