Sienna's Story

Meet Ankle Biter. We mean… Sienna.

This 2–3-year-old merle Chihuahua mix is officially ready for her forever home, and she has some very strong opinions about who belongs in it.

Let’s start with the important part: Sienna does not want to be your family dog. She does not want toddlers. She does not want chaos. She does not want your husband casually walking through the kitchen at night.

She especially does not want him anywhere near foster mom.

Sienna originally came to us after being passed around from home to home. One person said she wasn’t good with other dogs. Another said she growled at kids from the crate. Meanwhile, Sienna arrived at foster care, climbed directly into foster mom’s lap, and decided, “Yes. This human. Mine forever.”

Since then, she has slept in bed glued to foster mom, followed foster mom room to room, given foster mom endless kisses, and quietly snuck off to bite foster dad’s ankles during late-night potty breaks.

Not bark at him.
Not scream at him.
Not create drama.

Just a silent little drive-by ankle nip before returning to her emotional support human.

Now listen… foster mom does find this mildly hilarious. The dedication. The loyalty. The tiny bodyguard energy. But foster dad also lives there, and apparently Sienna finds that deeply offensive.

So what’s Sienna’s dream home?

A retired woman with a comfy recliner, a soft blanket, and absolutely no men wandering around the house ruining the vibe. Unless you want to scare him off with the ankle biting tendencies. Then yes, Sienna is your girl.

No young kids. Calm environment. Someone patient who understands that Sienna bonds HARD once she trusts you.

And truly, underneath the ankle assassin behavior, she is a sweet little dog who just desperately wants stability and her person.

Sienna was thought to be pregnant at intake, but our vet confirmed she was simply in heat. She has since been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, and started on prevention. She’s officially adoption ready and searching for the one human she can obsess over forever ❤️

Sienna is potty and crate trained. She weighs 8lbs.

Apply to adopt:
https://rubiesandrogues.com/pages/placement-application

Adoption fee $300 (includes vetting through our program) see here for specifics: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16xaqyrjYF/
