Shnuggles/Leo has the energetic personality of a Bassett, with the upper body of a shepherd. He plays with all kinds of toys, with tug-a-war being his favorite. He will not turn down an opportunity to play tug-a-war. Great with other dogs off leash at dog parks; great on leash on walks. Good recall. House trained. knows sit, down and paw. Quiet in his crate. When he is meeting new people in his home, he is shy. Best with older children and no small animals. He does well with dogs who are the same size or bigger. He loves to chew. He thoroughly enjoys a big, thick bone, anything smaller and he will bite through. Very food motivated and easy to train for that reason. He needs a slow eating bowl. Kennel trained and will go into it when you tell him to do so. He lets you know when he needs to go outside. When outside, he does not bark unless there are other dogs he wants to pay with. Loves cuddling and head rubs. He will be your shadow. He may not want to share his food.
