Meet the amazing Shimmer! She's 1.5 years old, a dainty 12 pounds, and one of the happiest little souls you'll meet.<br/><br/>However, Shimmer didn't have a normal start. When she came to us, we were told it was her first time ever being outside. She was also dealing with a severe flea infestation and had clearly gone without basic care for a long time. She also has a sensitive stomach, and wasn't feeling her best to say the least. It was a rough beginning for such a young dog. But here's the thing about Shimmer... she didn't come out of it scared of everything. She came out of it curious.<br/><br/>Now that she's feeling better, she's been discovering the world like it's brand new. Grass, fresh air, toys, other dogs, a special diet to help her tummy issues, and of course people...she's into all of it! She has this light, happy energy where everything feels exciting but not overwhelming. She'll bounce around and play, then just as easily curl up in your lap like she's always belonged there.<br/><br/>She does great with other dogs and would honestly love to have one in her forever home.
