Shiloh's Story

Shiloh is a beautiful young adult Husky with a gentle, affectionate personality and a heart full of love. Around 2 years old and weighing approximately 40–45 pounds, she has a smaller Husky build and is likely all or mostly Husky. Shiloh is friendly, calm, and well-mannered, making her a wonderful companion.

She is great with other dogs, cats, and kids, and enjoys being part of a family. True to her breed, Shiloh likes to stay active and would enjoy a fenced yard where she can run and play, though she is not overly hyper. She would be happy with a canine companion but would also do well as the only dog in a home that provides her with regular activity, attention, and affection.

Shiloh was found as a devoted mama who had been caring for her puppies, and now that they are growing and finding their own homes, it is her turn to be someone’s cherished companion. She has shown herself to be resilient, loving, and eager to please, and would thrive in a moderately active home that can offer stability and routine.

Shiloh is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, fecal and Giardia tested, current on preventatives, and fully cleared for adoption by a veterinarian.

Shiloh is fostered through Scout Street Smart Rescue, a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue. An approved application and a scheduled appointment are required to meet or adopt.

Adoption applications can be found here (copy and paste into your browser):
https://airtable.com/appklteyg5w2e0fmu/shrY8RxQc1KxQYCuv

Shiloh is available for adoption to residents of PA, NJ, MD, DE, NY, VA, WV, OH, MA, RI, VT, NH, CT, and ME, with occasional exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis.

Adopters must be 21+ years old and have proper identification. ALL members of the household must agree on the adoption. We do NOT allow adoptions to be surprises for others. Out of state adoptions are ALLOWED. We currently adopt to homes located in PA, NY, MD, DE, NJ, MA, CT, RI, OH, NH, OR, WA, SC, and FL. We will also adopt to homes located within 200-250 miles from Amarillo, TX 79101, and may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis for longer distances or other states. Potential adopters must submit an initial application that will be followed up by a phone interview and home check. Potential adopters must be able to prove that property management permits pets if renting or prove homeownership. We call two personal non-family references (ie. friends, neighbors or co-workers) that are to be listed on the application. If there are any current pets in the home, we will call your Veterinarian as well to ensure all pets are up to date on state required vaccines and are spayed/neutered. Potential adopter must provide basic care for the life of the animal. An adoption contract must be thoroughly read, completed, and signed by the adopter before the adoption is complete. The adoption process could range anywhere from a few hours, up to a week. We do NOT hold dogs/puppies.
