Clover is a very sweet little girl who was retired from a commercial breeding facility after years of having puppies. She is a quiet girl, very loveable and comical. She weighs around 14 lbs. She follows me from room to room and is very curious and friendly. She has learned to walk on a leash and has done well with potty training, She is crate trained, and sleeps quietly in her kennel all night. She gets along well with other dogs. Soon after Clover arrived in rescue we learned that she had heart issues. We took her to Iowa State Vet School and learned that she needed a pacemaker. She had the pacemaker put in on June 9th. She will need to take medication for her heart for the rest of her life. The monthly cost for her medication is $70. Clover's new family will need to commit to visits at Iowa State Vet School every six months to have her pacemaker checked. Those visits will cost between $400 and $1,000 each. The ideal home for her will be one with a fenced in yard and another dog with a similar energy level. Clover is a very brave courageous dog. She has been thru alot in the last 6 months, and she took it all in stride. She was patient with the heart monitors, and the trips to ISU, and all the doctor visits. She is easy to have around and it is a joy to be in her company. She is up to date on all her shots. Her adoption fee is $300 and she qualifies for the senior discount.
