He prefers someone who understands his rhythm and respects his boundaries. If someone is too pushy — like young kids who haven’t learned dog etiquette yet — he can be a bit snappy. The same goes for grooming: if he’s not in the mood for a haircut or nail trim, he’ll tell you! He can get a little spicy… but never too much for the right person to handle. <br/>With his staff favorites, Shifu is a total angel. They can groom him, trim his nails, and spoil him endlessly. But that’s because Shifu is the kind of guy who needs to choose you before you choose him. <br/>He does great with other dogs, big and small, although he isn’t much of a “playmate.” His world revolves around his human, and he’s happiest being close to his person. He also hates being kenneled — he’ll bark to let you know that someone as adorable as him simply shouldn’t be behind bars.
