Sherbet's Story

We rescued Sherbet’s mom from a rural shelter we help when she was still pregnant. Thankfully, one of our wonderful fosters brought her into her home so she would have a safe place to have her babies. Sherbet was born in July, and she has been a sweet pup. She has completed her veterinary care, so she’s ready to for her person.

Sherbet is a cuddly girl, and she loves to be held. She likes to play with other dogs and cats too. She loves kids and has been with children as young as 6. She is learning how to walk on a leash, and is almost house trained.

Sherbet is 11 weeks old and weighs 9 pounds. She is an Australian Shepherd mix, and we think she will be about 35 pounds as an adult. She is spayed, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. She is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Sherbet can arrive in Newport, VT on 11/7. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application found here: https://throwadogabone.org/adopt.

We respond to all inquiries.
