Sherbet's Story
Meet Sherbet, a young (approx. 5 months old) spayed female hound mix, weighing about 25 lbs! Sherbet is currently in TN and is expected to arrive in CT in June. We are accepting applications on her now! Her foster said, "Sherbet is, so far, a little clingy but she is such a love! This is somewhat normal for dogs that are experiencing a stable, loving home life for the first time. She's a little underweight and eats her food very very fast so a slow feed bowl is recommended. She seems to be a dalmatian mix. She is progressing great as far as potty training & crate training go. No accidents for a couple days now!"

Sherbet is medically up to date, mostly housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special pup today!

Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
