MEET SHENZI! STATS: 1 year old old, neutered, Jack Russell Terrier Mix, 21 lbs AFFECTION/ENERGY LEVEL: I am the cutest little jumping bean you have ever seen! I bounce around the yard like a bunny, playing chase with all my friends. I absolutely love people (there is no such thing as too much) as well as other dogs. I have friends of all sizes! I have quite a bit of puppy energy, but that’s what makes me ME! WHAT I LOVE: I am full of love and exuberance and always leave my personality on full display. I absolutely love to play, run, jump, chase toys, play tag (I always win!) and just enjoy life. When I get my energy out, I am such a cuddle bug. After a nap, I am ready to go play some more! KIDS: While I haven’t been formally tested with kids at the shelter, the staff thinks I would be good with kids who understand my energy level, and are kind and respectful towards me! OTHER DOGS: I am dog friendly and go to playgroup every day at the shelter! CATS: Unknown HIS MATCH: I am still learning how to “dog” and am still in the puppy phase, so I would love someone who will teach me as I grow. I am such a love bug, so I would need someone who is going to baby talk me! I do have a lot of energy, so a way for me to meet that need (walks, playing in the yard, enrichment, etc.) is a must for me! SPECIAL NOTE: I was recently mistaken for a giant rabbit. Once you complete the app, a staff member will call you in 1-2 business days once approved to set up a time for you to meet the pet you are interested in. Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.
