Shelby's Story
Meet Shelby!

Shelby, also affectionately known as “Boogie,” is a five-to-six-month-old, twelve-pound sweetheart who loves cuddles, kisses, and being close to her people. She can be a little cautious when meeting someone new or experiencing something unfamiliar, but give her a little patience and she’ll start showing you just how affectionate and loving she is.

Once Shelby feels comfortable, she’s happiest snuggled up with her person and soaking up attention. Her foster describes her as an absolute sweetheart and a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving little sidekick.

Like any young puppy, Shelby is still learning the ropes. She’s working on her potty training and leash skills and responds well to treats, encouragement, and positive reinforcement. She’s a smart girl who just needs someone willing to help her continue building confidence as she grows.

Shelby would thrive with a patient adopter who can give her a calm, reassuring environment and let her settle in at her own pace. She could do well in an apartment or a moderately active home and is ready to find someone who will make her feel safe, loved, and part of the family.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!
