Shelby's Story

This beautiful 1yo Australian Shepherd may be blind and deaf, but don’t tell her that — nothing slows her down! She can partially see shadows through one eye, has an AMAZING nose, and navigates the world with confidence, joy, and resilience.
She has already learned several touch-based cues including sit, down, calm, and good, and she absolutely thrives with guidance, routine, and love. She is incredibly smart, playful, affectionate, and full of personality.
A few things about this special girl: LOVES other dogs and would thrive with playful canine friends Sometimes pesters dogs to keep playing, so she needs owners willing to advocate and help her settle NOT good with cats OBSESSED with water — kiddie pools, sprinklers, buckets... if there’s water nearby, she’s in it (or flipping it over ) Adventurous, goofy, sweet, and incredibly resilient
She was pulled from an LA shelter and is currently being fostered with my pack in Los Angeles. She is available for transport anywhere in the US to the perfect home.
Rescued by Eddie’s Heart ❤ï ̧
This girl deserves a family that sees her potential instead of her disabilities — because she truly is something special.
Please message for adoption information, questions, or to share her post!
For a complete list of our pets and photos please visit our website fochp.org
