Shelbie's Story
Meet Shelbie!

Shelbie is a 5 year old Cockapoo weighing approximately 15 pounds. This adorable girl is looking for a patient and understanding family that will help her discover what it truly means to be loved.

Shelbie came to rescue through a breeder release situation, meaning she spent her life being used for breeding and missed out on the socialization, affection, and experiences that every dog deserves. Because of this, she can be nervous in new situations and around new people. However, beneath that uncertainty is a sweet girl who clearly wants love and companionship.

Shelbie does wonderfully with other dogs and takes comfort in their presence. She currently lives in a foster home with many canine friends and gets along beautifully with all of them. She does bark at the cats in her foster home from time to time, but she has never shown any aggression toward them.

She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and enjoys spending time outdoors with the other dogs during the day, especially when the weather is nice. Shelbie would thrive in a calm home without young children, where she can settle in at her own pace and build confidence in a safe environment.

With patience, kindness, and time, Shelbie is going to make a wonderful companion. Shes already shown how much she wants to trust and connect with people, and we know her personality will continue to blossom as she learns what it feels like to be truly cherished.

Shelbie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and will receive a health certificate prior to adoption. If youre willing to give a deserving dog the time she needs to come out of her shell, Shelbie will reward you with a lifetime of love and loyalty.

https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application
