SIZE - Lowrider, about 35 pounds
AGE - about 3 years
GENDER - Male
MEDICAL CONCERNS - Tested positive for exposure to Lyme, but has been treated and should have no further issues.
BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Sheffey is a gorgeous fellow who is very quiet. He seems a bit under-socialized, but is a kind and agreeable dog who becomes very affectionate after bonding with you. He came to us with another dog, possibly his litter mate, who had long hair but was otherwise similar in look and demeanor. Sheffey is low energy, quiet, and much more interested in people than in other animals.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
