Hi, my name is SHAYLA. I am an adorable female lab mix.I was abandoned at a shelter in North Carolina as a stray puppy with my brother and sister (already in their forever homes!!!) before coming to Animal Alliance. I am now living with a foster family who are teaching me how to be a great pup! I love to chase balls, tug on ropes and chew stuffies, but my favorite “toy” is a stick! I love to be outside and run around or just sit and enjoy the sun. I am shy at first but I warm up. I am really good in my crate where I sleep all night and hang out while my foster family works from home or runs errands. I am a smart cookie, doing really well learning house and leash manners so I would love a forever family who will continue my training. I also like lick mats and kongs but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE turkey and cheese as a special treat. I am willing to learn and am easy to train. I am amazing in the car where I lay in my crate. I am looking for an active home that could take me on 2 to 3 walks and play with me. I would do great with another dog to help show me the ropes (is not required) and with kids over 12 / no children.

This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is de-wormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick and preventatives.

Animal Alliance's policy is that we will adopt dogs younger than 1 year old to families with children under 9 years old. We do not adopt dogs 1 year or older to families with children under 9 years old due to the unknown history of adult dogs.

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY: Meetings at our Adoption Center are by appointment only (no walk-ins). An online adoption application is required and must be approved prior to meeting any animals. Adoption appointments are set up by email by our Adoption Coordinator (no phone calls, please). This process ensures our dedicated time to the animals in our care, as well as full attention to adopters at scheduled times.
