**Meet Shakira!**<br/><br/>Shakira is a 2-year-old, 30 lb sato who was rescued from Puerto Rico and flew into New Jersey on June 27th. She is now thriving in her foster home in New York while she waits for her forever family.<br/><br/>Shakira is a playful, smart girl who loves to have fun! She has a puppy-like personality and enjoys staying active, but she's also happy to relax in her crate and settle down after a day of adventures. She's fully potty trained and has adjusted beautifully to life in foster care.<br/><br/>Like many rescue dogs, Shakira is still building her confidence and has a few anxious moments as she adjusts to all the new things in her world. She loves affection from her people and is becoming more comfortable every day—even recently hopping up on the couch for the first time all on her own!<br/><br/>Shakira is looking for a patient family that will continue helping her blossom.
