Meet Shadow in NC - Gives Gentle Hugs!

This extremely handsome black and white boy is Shadow, and he is the whole package! Shadow is a young pup, and sweet as can be, with a long, thick, silky coat. The only thing better than his looks is his personality. He’s smart, laid-back, cuddly and sweet. Every person or thing that meets him falls instantly in love. No one can resist, even the grumpy kitty! And he adores all the attention and affection from everyone! From the time he wakes up until the time he goes to bed, he is trying to think of ways to please his people, with breaks to play with his doggy brothers and sisters! Shadow is a very friendly fellow and he does great with other dogs, but he’d also do well as a solo pup. He is house trained and crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and would love to learn new tricks because it would give him a reason to do his good-boy prance and get hot dog rewards! He is submissive but not shy, good-natured and mild-mannered. Shadow barks less than most Pyrs, and has a curiosity about him, following around his people to see what’s going on. He loves giving a gentle pyr paw, hugs, and warm snuggles. This happy, silly boy is ready to find his furever home!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
