We are a local foster home based rescue.<br/><br/>Shadow is an adorable lady who would love a family that will include her in their adventures. She would be an amazing running, hiking or camping buddy. Just say the word and she is ready to go. Shadow is energetic and will benefit from an active family. She will benefit from a strong leader when out on walks because she can be a barker when seeing other dogs out on a her leash walks. Shadow loves to relax outside in the sunshine and will need a securely fenced yard.<br/><br/>Shadow enjoys the company of other respectful dogs and would be happy with a canine companion that possesses the same respectful demeanor that she possesses. She has met cats and has a healthy sense of respect, however, any cats in the home should have a safe place to observe while she adapts to her new surroundings. <br/><br/>Shadow recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. She was also recently spayed and had a mammary mass removed. The result of the mass was a completely excised, Grade 1, low grade carcinoma. It is recommended that she be monitored for recurrence at her yearly wellness exams. Shadow is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. She is 10 years old and weighs 13 pounds. <br/><br/>Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We dont adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We dont ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog.
