Seymour's Story

We just can’t stop smiling about Seymour… and he can’t stop smiling right back at us!

Seymour is about 3–4 years old and weighs around 50 pounds. He has the most ridiculous little teef that stick out just enough to make you laugh every single day — almost as silly as his personality. He is truly a joy to be around.

Seymour brings big, wiggly, happy energy wherever he goes. He’ll happily follow you from room to room so he doesn’t miss a thing, then dramatically flop down nearby to keep you company. He’s affectionate without being clingy, playful without being overwhelming (most of the time!), and genuinely one of the sweetest dogs we’ve met.

He learned his foster home’s routine within just a few days and already goes straight to the door when he needs to go out. He’s smart, eager to please, and so proud to show you what a Good Boy he is. Of course, he is a bulldog, so you can expect a little classic bulldog stubbornness now and then — but it just adds to his charm ;)

Seymour adores toys and throws his whole heart into playtime. He loves other dogs and would do great with a playful canine sibling who can match his enthusiasm. He seems to be politely interested in cats, but not overly interested.

When Seymour gets excited, he can be a bit of a bull in a china shop — not intentionally, he’s just all in! Because of that, he’d likely do better with larger kids than smaller ones while he continues polishing his manners.

Seymour is crate trained and potty trained, but is still working on his leash skills and will need a patient, consistent person to guide him. But Seymour is a quick study and very eager to please!

Seymour is heartworm positive and currently undergoing treatment through NOBR. He is otherwise healthy, and we expect a full recovery with no lasting issues.

Underneath the goofy energy, Seymour simply wants people to love — deeply and wholeheartedly. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh daily, keep life interesting, and love you loudly, Seymour is more than ready to meet you!
