Selene's Story
Meet Selene!

Selene is a female, German Shepherd, born April 2025! Selene came to B&B from a local shelter and is doing so well in her foster home! She loves to cuddle and follow her foster around. She has a bunch of energy and likes to run zoomies in the backyard! She would do best in a home where they will help her get her energy out every day! She's very food motivated and easy to please - she picks up new commands and tricks quite quickly. She has some separation anxiety, which is to be expected based on her background, but it can definitely be worked through with time and patience! She loves cats and other dogs! She is fully house-trained and has not had accidents in her home or crate!

She is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required spay when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. To apply to adopt Selene, visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt.

Spay/Neuter Disclosure:
Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.

Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.

Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
