Security - The Sweetest Boxer Girl Around! You better call security, because you're about to have your heart stolen! Security is a total sweetheart who wants nothing more than to have a person (or people!) of her very own. Security is a people dog through and through. She's fantastic and absolutely lives for affection! She will happily soak up all the love you're willing to give. Toss in a game of fetch or a few toys and you'll officially be her favorite human. Security would like to be your one and only pet, but she makes up for it by being an excellent companion. She's fully potty trained and non-destructive in the home, though she does have a special talent for disemboweling soft toys. But hey, we all have our quirks. This girl has some muscle and can pull on the leash (she's just making sure you don't miss arm day) so she'd do best with a strong and confident handler. She will really shine with someone willing to continue her education and teach her that leash walks don't have be a form of resistance training. Contact my foster at (928) 699-6442 to meet me!

BROWSE The best way to view all our adoptable pets is right here on our website! Here, you can see pictures and read important information like gender, age, and personality. Please note that some of our adoptable pets may be at the shelter or in a foster home. We encourage you to take your time with this process and make a mental note of the pet(s) you’d like to meet! *For the well-being of our animals, we do not allow walk-throughs of the kennels. When you arrive at the shelter, please have a few pets in mind that you’d like to meet, and we will be happy to assist you with a meet & greet! MEET & GREET After narrowing down your search, we encourage you to spend time with your potential new best friend! You do NOT have to have an appointment to come in. The shelter is open Thursday through Tuesday, 11AM-5PM. Closed on Wednesdays! Our dedicated team is here to assist and address any questions you might have. If you already have a dog at home, be sure to bring them to the shelter to meet any potential new house-mates. We want to ensure dogs will get along BEFORE taking one home! Note: we do not test shelter cats with dogs or shelter dogs with cats. COMPLETE ADOPTION When you’ve found your perfect match, we’ll move on to complete the adoption. We ask that you sign an adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee. This fee helps chip in for surgeries, vaccines, and day-to-day care your adopted pet has had with us. Donations are always welcome; they help us take care of the next pet that comes through our doors! This is also a great time to ask our team any lingering questions you might have, and we’re here to provide you with resources so you and your new pet can start things off on the right paw! AFTER ADOPTION You have a new pet, how exciting! Please remember that each animal will have an adjustment period in their new home after adoption. Every pet is unique & will adjust differently, but as a general guideline you can follow the 3-3-3 rule! 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, and 3 months to start to feel at home. It doesn’t happen overnight, so give your new pet the patience they need to settle in & feel at home!
