Hi there! I’m Scruffy, a fluffy Aussie/Border Collie mix born in January 2026. I’m 18 pounds of pure charm if I do say so myself. My foster family says I’m an old soul wrapped in puppy energy: irresistible, gentle, and eager to please. I’m the kind of guy who loves everyone: kids, grown-ups, other dogs, even cats (I’m respectful and want to be friends!).<br/><br/>My days are filled with Good Vibrations just like the Beach Boys and I’ve chosen that as my theme song. I’m happiest napping by your feet after a game of fetch or a walk around the neighborhood. I’ve got a great balance of energy: medium-level pep for adventures and a mellow side that shines once I’ve stretched my legs. I love “zoomies” in the yard, food puzzles, and snuggles. If you’re looking for a future running or hiking buddy who also knows how to chill, I’m your guy.<br/><br/>I’d thrive with an adventurous family who wants to bring me along on all their excursions. A fenced yard would be great, but if you’ve got a solid leash routine, that works too. I’m still mastering house training and crate time, but I’m catching on quickly with positive reinforcement. I’m smart! Learning new things comes naturally when someone patient guides me. And keep those treats coming!<br/><br/>I’d love a canine sibling in my new home, but I would be ok on my own too, as long as my people are all about little old me. I’m easy-going and wholesome, the kind of dog who fits right into family life and loves everyone equally. I’ve met kids under 10 and think they’re wonderful. I’m also learning that the world is big and exciting. With a confident leader, I go from cautious to curious in no time.<br/><br/>Right now, I’m working on normal puppy stuff: confidence, leash manners, and exploring new sights and sounds. I need a potty break every few hours for now. I’m affectionate, friendly, and full of heart. I’m ready to bring warmth and joy to a family who wants a lovable companion with good vibrations to spare. Pups are up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. They will be spayed or neutered and microchipped at the age of roughly 6 months. The cost of this procedure is included in the adoption fee. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
