That might be my absolute favorite thing about him, his happiness and of course his silly tongue that is always hanging out LOL. Scrappy Doo is hands down that type of dog that can make any day better. <br/><br/>Scrappy is very dog friendly and has done great with all of the dogs we have introduced him to. He enjoys the occasional game of chase here and there, running around with other dogs and also enjoys hanging out and relaxing with other dogs too. In playgroups, he's the happy go lucky care free guy that's just enjoying life tongue hanging out and all. He is very tolerant with other dogs and handles even the pushiest of dogs so beautifully. He doesn't get intimidated by vocal players and has been able to go in almost any play group. He does great around dogs that love to play and does great around dogs that just like to enjoy the nice weather. Want to know his favorite place to be, even when he is surrounded by a bunch of dogs? By his person, it's his favorite spot to be. In a home, he would do best with a fun loving female that likes to have a good time but also enjoys those calmer relaxing moments as well. <br/><br/>Fun fact about Scrappy is that he loves the water! He loves it when you spray the water in his direction so he can chomp at it and leap into the air for it. It's the best summertime backyard entertainment. We aren't sure if he likes to actually swim or not because we have only seen him having a blast in the kiddie pools and with the water hose. His affinity for the water in general definitely means there is some good potential for a swimming champ! Scrappy is ultimately happy anywhere he is with his people by his side but we do believe he would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can romp around the yard, enjoy the sunshine, splash around in a kiddie pool, and porch sit with you while you read the newspaper or drink your morning coffee. He is crate trained, potty trained, loves treats and is eager to please! He'll do anything to make you happy, that's his only goal in life. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. <br/><br/>The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast.
