Scout's Story

Meet Scout!

This handsome fellow was found wandering around the front of a Denny’s. Apparently, little dude had a hankering for some pancakes and figured he’d try his luck.

We searched for his family, but no one ever came forward. Thankfully, a wonderful foster family stepped up, and Scout has been living his best life ever since. Now he’s ready to find a family to call his own!

Scout is an Australian Shepherd (mix) through and through. Loyal, energetic, ridiculously handsome, and absolutely obsessed with his ball. Seriously, BALL IS LIFE. If you’re looking for someone who will enthusiastically retrieve the same ball 147 times in a row, Scout would like to submit his application.

He’s fantastic with dogs of all ages and sizes, loves people, and is just an all-around really good dude. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, and has a whole lot of love to give. He is estimated to be 1yr old and weighs 45lbs.

Now, here’s the thing about Australian Shepherds. They’re freaking adorable, yes. But they’re not for everyone. They’re smart, active, and need families who understand that a pretty face comes with a busy brain and plenty of energy. Scout deserves a home that appreciates everything that makes an Aussie an Aussie, with lots of adventures, mental stimulation, and, obviously, an unlimited supply of tennis balls.

We think Scout is pretty darn special, and we can’t wait to find the people who think so, too.

Scout is located in Houston, Texas, but is available for adoption nationwide. His $600 adoption fee includes transportation to his forever home.

Think Scout might be your next best friend? Apply today at:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog

And if you happen to live near a Denny’s, well, that’s just a bonus.
