Scot's Story

Hi, my name is Scot aka Scottie. I found myself at the shelter after I was surrendered by my family when they could not afford medical towards a brachial plexus avulsion to my front left leg. The rescue who took me in does not have a timeline for when the incident occurred, but I do not have feeling in the lower part of my leg. The rescue vet has decided that amputation into a tripod, which is so cool, is best for longevity! I am a bit of a chunky monkey even though I can handle Zumiez like a champ. I weigh 19 lb and am roughly 1-year-old. I am Jack Russell Terrier mix and I am super happy! I like all the dogs that I meet, and can walk just fine with the best of them. I can probably run faster than most of them as well! I am a very happy pup and am looking for my forever home. The rescue would like to stress that I do have a prey drive and would do best in a fenced-in backyard. I require a home visit and would need to meet all of the pets in the home. I am not sure how I am with cats so we probably shouldn't chance it. I do love kids and would do great in a home with children. I am going to need an active family that knows I will go go go! Are you that family? I am neutered, UTD Rabies and DHPP, microchipped and HW negative. Currently being fostered near Wrightsville Beach NC.

Please note: RRC does not respond to inquiries without an application on file.
