Scooter's Story

Meet Scooter!

The best underbite AND floppy ears award goes to... Scooter!

Scooter is 4 years old, 41-pound Bulldog mix who has been waiting for his person since December 2024. That's far too long for a guy as sweet as him.

When Scooter first came to us, he was in less-than-ideal condition and had a few pounds to put on. But through it all, he has remained one of the happiest, friendliest boys around. Scooter absolutely loves people, and his favorite place to be is right in your lap—because apparently 41 pounds is still lap-dog size!

Scooter has had mixed feelings about other dogs at the shelter, but we've recently seen signs that he may be able to live with another dog, preferably a female dog who is his size or larger. Small dogs are not a good match for Scooter. A meet-and-greet would be required with any potential canine sibling.

This sweet boy has been waiting since December 2024 for someone to see what we see in him. He deserves a second chance—and a person who will make sure his long wait was worth it.

Could you be Scooter's person?

Please note: We cannot guarantee that Scooter is house-trained, as many of our dogs come to us as strays.
