Scooby's Story

Meet Scooby!

I’m a super sweet man who found myself at the shelter with my sister when our owners couldn’t care for us anymore. That’s when my new friends at Red Dog come in! They busted me out of the joint.

I’m a very quiet, mellow man. I’m a little reserved at first but give me less than five minutes, tell me I’m handsome and just watch my goofy, sweet side shine!

I’m a dignified gentleman at only 3 years old. I’m potty trained and know how to behave in the crate (but I might paw at the door here and there to try and convince you to let me out).

Baths aren’t my favorite but I’ll be good in there with a little time and comforting. I definitely prefer you towel dry me instead of use that scary, loud air machine that my foster mom calls a drier! Not. A. Fan.

I’ve met my foster kitties and a few of the pups I’m sharing this place with and did great! Not big on playing and rough housing just yet but I don’t mind sharing my space with some siblings!

Unfortunately both my sister and I went a very long time with untreated skin and ear infections so my hair is a little thin in spots and my ears are still itchy but with some ongoing care and treatment, I’ll be back to 100% in no time!

The Red Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have an extensive adoption application for each dog. Each application must be filled out entirely. We reserve the right to decline your interest in an adoptable dog at any point. We place each dog in a home where the adopter is already living the lifestyle the dog needs. We do a 1 on 1 meet and greet first. Next we do an in adopters home meet and greet to evaluate how the dog will do in their potential home, and routine. We ensure they have appropriate space etc. We then have adoptions pending on sleepover or trial period going well with the adopter to ensure its a good fit and nobody is rushed or pressured.
