Scoobie and Brownie - Bonded Pair's Story

Meet Scoobie and Brownie, the dynamic duo searching for a forever home together! Scoobie is the small terrier mis and is 9 years old, and Brownie is a 6 year old Australian Shepherd mix. They are both neutered males.
These two-fur brothers have found themselves in the shelter suddenly, but we can tell they find comfort in each other. Due to unfortunate life circumstances, their owner did not have the time to care for them anymore and made the tough decision to let them find a better fit. These brothers have been together since Brownie was a puppy, and they have grown very attached to each other. We usually try to find dogs homes separately as this often helps them get adopted quicker, but with Brownie and Scoobie we really feel like they need to stay together as a unit.
These boys are typically chill as can be! Scoobie, the senior, is a very relaxed little guy, and is content to snooze most of the day away. Brownie has a bit more energy, but he always makes sure he's within sight of his buddy, even during playtime. We've noticed that Brownie tends to worry over Scoobie, and wants to have eyes on him at all times. Even when we're just briefly separating them to walk one to our backyard, Brownie will refuse to go with us until he sees that Scoobie is close behind. This is so adorable to see, and it's why we can't bear to separate them!
Brownie and Scoobie have been around other dogs and kids before, and did well with them. We are not sure how they would do with cats. We recommend a meet and greet with any kids in the home prior to adoption to make sure it's a good fit!
These two are used to being spoiled, and I'm sure they will demand their future owner continue this kingly treatment! They've only ever eaten wet food before, and while we're trying to see if we can convince them to take to kibble, it is a work in progress! Their future owner also needs to be mindful that, with them being older, routine vet care will be essential to keep them healthy. Scoobie is already starting to lose some teeth, and a dental will likely be needed in the near future.
We know it can be daunting to adopt two dogs are once, but we know that these two have a perfect home on the horizon! If you are interested in this sweet pair, come out and meet them today!
