Scone's Story
Scone is an 8 year old 14 pound little mama who was found as a stray and ended up at a local shelter, where no one came looking for her. She had some pretty significant health issues, so we knew we couldn't leave her there. We rushed down to pick her up and brought her to Pug Nation, where she could finally get the care she needed and eventually the forever home she deserves!

Scone arrived to us with very damaged skin, and she's still healing. She has chronic flea allergies, which we suspect were made much worse by spending a long time out on the streets. It's also clear that she has had several litters in the past. Thankfully, that chapter of her life is over. These days Scone gets to be the dog she should have been all along.

And she seems pretty happy about it. Scone is incredibly loving and sweet! Give her some attention and she's thrilled. Some cuddles and she's even happier! She loves being pet by her people and is perfectly content to hang out beside you soaking up affection.

She also does great with other dogs. She's gentle and respectful, and while she enjoys a little playtime, she's not going to make a big production if another dog isn't interested. She's happy to play when the opportunity presents itself and equally happy to just coexist with her friends.

Of course, treats are also very welcome. Scone is food motivated and sweet as pie, which feels pretty appropriate for a girl with that name.

She's not a high-energy dog, but she has just enough spunk to keep things fun. Mostly, Scone seems to appreciate the good stuff: a comfortable place to rest, a few snacks, a little playtime, and a human who wants to give her lots of love.

Her skin still needs time and continued care to fully recover, but we wanted to introduce her now because maybe her person is already out there waiting for her. After everything Scone has been through, she deserves a life that is wonderful and full of nothing but love! Interested in this sweet girl? Please inquire today!
