Meet Schatzi
Big softie seeking his forever pretzel :)
My name is Schatzi, and I'm looking for my "spatzle" someone!
I am a 2-year-old, 66 pound bone-ified German Shepherd boy!
I came into rescue after spending my puppy-hood as a stray all alone. After some amazing rescuers gained my trust with some sausage, and a lot of love, I am ready to be the "frank" to your "furter"!
I am potty-trained and leash-trained like a pro! I am a STAR at basic obedience and I love to show off my commands! I am a real hound for leberwurst (or any snacks)... the way to my heart is definitely through my tummy! I do well in my kennel; I can be a bit of a sauerkraut for a few minutes when I want to be out with my paw-son, but I quickly settle :)
I was heartworm positive when I was rescued, but I am completing my treatment with ease! I can be adopted while I am finishing up my medication regimen, and our rescue clinic will complete my treatment! You will need to be local to the area so you can bring me back for a couple of appointments until I am finished, but I'm confident that won't keep my forever from finding me :) I will not have any special needs or restrictions once my heartworm treatment is completed.
I am polite and calm with other dogs, and greet all people and kids alike without a hitch! I can be a bit of a shy German gent at first, but I fall in love faster than a schnitzel sizzles in a saucepan! I love to take walks, go on hikes in the great outdoors, and cuddle up next to my person for a movie night like the snuggliest pair of lederhosen!
So what'll it be, fur-ever?! Will you be the forever bun to my bratwurst?!
Apply to adopt me today :)
