Meet Scarlett

Scarlett is a beautiful, brindle black mouth cur/pit mix. She’s on the petite side, weighing 43 lbs. She is three years old and has cute webbed toes. Scarlett was returned to SCHS for no good reason, other than being failed by her humans, after being adopted a year and a half ago. She was heartworm negative when previously adopted, but has unfortunately tested positive for heartworms upon her return. She is currently being treated. Scarlett did previously live with a cat (who was also returned). She loves to play tug-o-war!

All dogs up for adoption are spayed or neutered and are heartworm tested and up to date on distemper, parvo, kennel cough and rabies vaccinations. We treat for worms and ear mites as well as flea and tick preventative.

We welcome visitors Tuesday evenings 4-7 p.m. Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to noon. Sundays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may also schedule an appointment at a time that is more convenient for your schedule. Call 217-322-2220 if you have any questions or concerns.
