Sasparilla's Story

Welcome Sasparilla to the Mission! This cute and sweet gal is likely a catahoula leopard dog mix of some kind and she hails from Post Falls Animal Shelter where she was originally brought after she was found wandering. She has an estimated birthday of 09/28/2022.

Sasparilla has two wolves inside of her. One is a brave and athletic sporting hound, the other is a socially awkward toddler brained 50lb dog who peepees in her pants when another dog sniffs her too much. She needs someone who can be patient and kind but also offer clear structure to help her find balance in her life and to be herself without acting too insecure or too lacking in self control once it all shakes out.

She is good in her crate and loves eating her meals from her food puzzle. She walks fine on leash but is still learning to not pull. She appears to be potty trained and she rides fine in the car. She is dog/cat/kid safe but will need encouragement and guidance on how to interact since she seems to have very little experience.

Sasparilla comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, medical records, and a complimentary consultation with a behaviorist to help both parties ace the new partnership. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.

Thank you for checking out Sasparilla!

Murci's Mission 's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to apply with Murci's Mission! We are a foster based 501c3 that specializes in animals with medical and behavioral needs. We do not have a facility or set hours of operation. To be considered to adopt with us, your first step will be to submit an adoption application. From there we will read through our application and make sure that we feel like you and your household will be a good match for your desired pet. If we feel that you are a good match, we will contact you via phone or email to ask any questions we may have and to let you know that we are beginning the process of screening your application. We will then call your references and vet, and finally schedule a meet and greet with you at a time that works for you at your place of residence where we will perform a brief homecheck to ensure there are no immediate dangers to the pet. In most cases, adoption can take place at the end of the meet and greet. For particularly shy pets, or pets that may need more time to warm up to resident animals, additional meet and greets may need to take place. We look forward to meeting you and thank you immensely for choosing to adopt.
