Sasha's Story

Meet little Sasha. Holding herself down at only 35 pounds, she is the ultimate cuddle buddy. Sasha was found alongside a road presumably dumped there; she's clearly been through more than she should have ever been. Her ears are mishappened, one shorter than the other, showing her back story must have not been easy. Even still she has shown all the staff that she is still filled with love and has a heart of gold. She enjoys lounging outside and sitting on laps and of course giving all the kisses.

Fayette County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Those interested in adoption have the option to visit us in person or to view our animals online. Once the potential finds an animal that interests them, whether after meeting in person or online, they will complete an adoption application. The adoption application is then screened by one of our adoption counselors. If approved, we will coordinate an appointment for adoption (usually same day). If not approved, we will work with the applicant to see if there is anything we can do to assist in getting them approved before turning them away. Adopters will pay a set adoption fee. In return, they will adopt their new furry friend and will go home with medical records, a copy of the adoption contract, an adoption packet, and our contact info should they ever need anything.
