Sasha 21515's Story

Meet Sasha!

Sasha is a smart, sweet, and incredibly loyal girl who forms deep bonds with the people she loves. Since coming into foster care, she has adapted wonderfully to living in a multi-dog household and truly thrives with a canine companion by her side. She enjoys having another dog to help her feel confident and would do best in a home with a well-matched dog friend.

Sasha appears to be a German Shepherd/Doberman mix, and she proudly displays many of the wonderful traits of both breeds. She is intelligent, eager to learn, and naturally protective of her home and family. She takes her job as the household guardian very seriously and has some herding instincts as well.

Because of her breed characteristics, Sasha is looking for an experienced owner-someone who has previously owned or worked with German Shepherds, Dobermans, or similar working breeds. She has made great progress but will continue to benefit from consistent training, structure, and positive reinforcement. For these reasons, she would not be the best fit for a first-time dog owner.

Sasha takes a little extra time to warm up to men in the home, but once she builds trust, her loyalty shines through. She tends to bond more quickly with women and absolutely adores her ladies.

To help Sasha feel her most comfortable and confident, she is looking for a home without young children. Children 10 years old and younger make her nervous, so an adult-only home or one with older, respectful children would be the best match.

If you're an experienced dog owner looking for a devoted, intelligent companion who will be fiercely loyal and love you with her whole heart, Sasha may be the perfect addition to your family.
