Sarge - Tripod

Sarge is currently living in a home in Kentucky, and is adoptable in Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, and Ontario.

Sarge's senior mom has moved into a facility and is no longer able to care for him. He is greatly loved by his mom and her adult children. He is getting care in his mom's home from other family members until his new family discovers him. He misses his mom but he is lucky to live in his home during this sad time. Everyone in the family loves Sarge, but unfortunately he is terrible with cats and family members all have cats, so he needs a new family.

Sarge is a tripod. He lost his leg early in life due to an accident but he gets around very well. He loves to go on walks and meet people. He can lift his hind leg while peeing and keep his balance! Because of his disability, it is important to keep his weight under control and he loves food, like coonhounds usually do. Sarge is a food thief, so counters must be kept free of food.

Sarge loves people and dogs. He is a happy boy, easy-going, a snuggler, and enjoys life. He likes to play with toys. He has energy and needs some daily exercise, so a fenced yard or another dog to play with would be great, but he has been an only dog for a long time with momma for companionship.

More about Sarge:
--6 years old
--23 kg / 50 lbs
--leash walking is a work in progress; more training needed
--likes to watch the neighborhood and will bay at times
--likes his crate
--knows basic commands
--no cats

Please adopt or foster Sarge and help him start his new life!

https://www.coonhoundrescue.ca/adoption-application/
https://www.coonhoundrescue.ca/foster-application/
