Our Process Includes: A completed adoption application A phone interview to discuss lifestyle, expectations, and compatibility A home check (virtual or in-person) to ensure a safe and secure environment We also offer a "Foster with Intent to Adopt" option for those who would like to ensure a perfect fit before finalizing their adoption. This gives both the dog and the family time to adjust and bond in a supported way. Our Promise: If for any reason an adopter can no longer care for their dog—whether it’s months or years later—we require that the dog be returned to Soulshine. No judgment, no questions asked. Our commitment to every dog we rescue is lifelong, and we will always welcome them back when needed. By adopting through Soulshine, you become part of our extended rescue family—changing a life and gaining a loyal companion in return.
