Sapphire in CT - A Bundle of Fun!'s Story
Meet Sapphire, a delightful young Great Pyrenees pup who's ready to bring joy and laughter into your life! This beautiful girl was found as a stray in Tennessee alongside her mama and sister, and she's blossomed into an absolute bundle of fun in her foster home. With her long, soft fur and playful personality, Sapphire is what her foster mom lovingly calls "a comedian" – there's never a dull moment when this entertaining pup is around, as she's always looking for the next game or adventure! She's got that wonderful active young pup energy you'd expect, and is excited to learn new things. She’s already house-trained, crate trained and is learning her basic commands and how to walk politely on leash. On walks, she's a typical enthusiastic youngster who might get a little jumpy but won't try to drag you down the street. Sapphire already knows the most important words – "dinner" and "eat" – and she's proven herself to be a wonderful companion to both her mom and sister, showing she does great with other dogs! Her fun-loving nature suggests she'd likely do wonderfully with older kids who can match her playful energy. Sapphire's ideal home would be in an active family with a securely fenced yard (at least 5 feet high) and a canine brother to romp around with. If you're looking for a gorgeous, goofy girl who will keep you laughing and loving life, Sapphire just might be your PYR-fect match!

NYS Registered Rescue # RR102
NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
